Read (and write)
between the lines

PROJECT |
A stranger hands you a notebook. “Write whatever you want,” he says. Okay, you think. What’s the worst that could happen — he posts it online? Well, yeah!
Write in My Journal is a sweet and simple DIY blog. For five months now, a copywriter living in Salt Lake City has been handing his Moleskine journal to strangers and asking them to write — anything. Some of the entries are pensive (“I found I am just an occurrence of my mind, this deeper thing that is my fate embodied”). Others are cathartic (“He reminded me that I needed to face my pain”). Almost without fail, they’re interesting. The project — a Luddite’s Facebook, of sorts — is a subtle soapbox, and a paper trail you’ll want to pursue.
