The warnings, instructions, and street signs you’ll find on Signspotting.com will make you laugh out loud — even if that wasn’t actually their original intention.
Started nine years ago by a travel writer named Doug Lansky, the site collects reader-submitted pix of absurdly awkward signs. Highlights include a sign that warns passersby to BE AWARE OF INVISIBILITY and a couple of (NSFW) stick-figure drawings that ask clubgoers in Spain and China to forgo certain sexual acts. But our highest rating goes to the sign you’ll find in a certain British hospital: FAMILY PLANNING ADVICE, it reads. USE REAR ENTRANCE.
