Timetoast is a free, simple, useful app that lets you build interactive, shareable timelines: Use it to chart your child’s development, map the growth of your business, or create some highly subjective histories of world events.
Pick your concept, and add the dates to the horizontally scrollable graph. Each event space has room for notes, a photo, links, and comments. And for inspiration, you can check out some of the timelines created by other users: “History of Basketball” focuses solely on advances in sneaker technology, with special emphasis paid to the Jordan Era (1985–93), while a “Timeline of Canada” ends abruptly, and mysteriously, in 1913. Anybody up there?
