Go, thieves!

Company of Thieves is a new band that has set the bar high for itself, with a single that draws on Oscar Wilde for its lyrics and on Wes Anderson’s Rushmore for its video.
The Chicago trio filmed its tribute to the iconic 1998 film in a single day at an elementary school in Kokomo, Indiana, on a set littered with dozens of Rushmore-like props (which the band purchased at local flea markets). Lead singer Genevieve Schatz plays the role of Max Fischer: “Time keeps on ticking away,” she sings as she passes a row of lockers in super slo-mo. It’s a lovely moment that almost out-Andersons Anderson.
