See the sunset at any time of the day

WEBSITE: Eternal Sunset |
World travelers can argue over the best place on earth to watch the sunset (the beach in Bermuda? Iceland?), but why fight over one spot when you can have them all — or at least a fair sampling? Thanks to the Website Eternal Sunset, you can now catch the sun at its most romantic moment all over the world on hundreds of Internet-linked cameras. Okay, so some of the cameras overlook busy highways, and one in Chita — a city in Eastern Siberia — appears to face a parking lot, but who’s complaining?
Regardless of the time of day, make sure to check out the camera in Antarctica. Called the Penguin Webcam, it seems less interested in solar phenomena than in monitoring the milling birds — which turns out to be just about as charming as a sunset, anyway.
